Welcome to Granite Ledge Kennels, where our goal is to provide you with a gun dog that is a pleasure to have both in the field and in your home.

We have 75 acres of training grounds with ponds to meet your training needs. The trainer can give total concentration to the dog in an environment that is ideal for training.

Our modern and clean gun dog kennels have large indoor runs that are both heated and cooled. The kennel has a large exercise area that is fenced-in and gives your dog freedom during training sessions.

We are located in Foreston, Minnesota, west of Milaca and just off of Highway 169, northwest of the Twin Cities.

As an avid hunter, Chris Wilson has always had a great interest in hunting dogs. This dates back to the first dog his grandpa gave him. This led to a fulltime professional career as a gun dog trainer. Chris has trained and qualified numerous dogs through to their Master Hunter titles. Chris’s main focus as a trainer is to provide the owner with a dog who is a pleasure both in your home and in the field. Chris specializes in training retriever hunting dogs and gun dogs.

Granite Ledge Kennels offers a full range of training options from basic obedience training to advanced hunt training.

All of our prices include boarding.
Vaccination shots must be up-to-date.
All dogs must be vaccinated against Bordetella. Please bring your pet's complete shot record along with you.

A $100 non-refundable deposit to hold a training spot for your dog is required, and $250 is due at check-in. The balance is due at the time of check out. There is an additional charge for live birds used exclusively for your dog, approximately $150-$175. Before your dog goes home Chris will provide you with individual instruction on the proper training techniques and how to handle your newly trained dog.
