Sundowner Retrievers provides professional retriever training services in the Twin Cities area of MN. We specialize in training hunt-test dogs, started, & experienced gun dogs. We only take a small number of dogs at a time to ensure your dog gets the right amount of professional training and individual attention that you expect from your trainer.
We have access to 3,500 acres of private retriever training grounds all across Minnesota including technical ponds and a wide variety of cover and terrain. With our experience and our long history of satsified clients, you can be sure your retriever will be prepared for hunting in the field or retrieving from the duck blind, as well as any hunt test running line they are entered in.
We have spent 30 years hunting waterfowl and upland game. We know the importance of hunting over a well trained, obedient retriever and the bond created between a hunter and his gun dog. Whether we are training a started hunting retriever or an advanced field trial dog, the dogs we train will be prepared for the field, duck blind, and any hunt test running line.
